Bananas for Moisturized Skin.
You see those overripe bananas that you just find hard to get down your throat, you do not need to throw them. We are not wasteful here.
Ripe bananas are a very versatile fruit. You can make banana bread (recipe coming up very soon) or you can use it for skin, which is our focus today. It is a very easy DIY face mask.
How to...
In a bowl place a peeled banana.
Using a fork, mash it until consistent.
Optional;
add in a quarter teaspoonful of turmeric powder.
*personally I prefer the fresh turmeric, pound it like ginger and add it to your banana.
*this process can get messy if you are clumsy, so does the application process. do not forget that turmeric stains fabric.
Benefits of banana on skin.
1. Moisturizes and hydrates skin. even from the texture, you can just tell that the mask is very hydrating. this is because of the potassium in it.2. Maintains skin elasticity. The banana mask nourishes the skin and restores strength thus smoothing out aging skin. With that said, of course, it prevents wrinkles. You can actually feel this after washing it off and applying an oil to seal in the moisture.
3. Brightens your skin. Si kubleach. It makes your skin pop and appear brighter rather than kukaa ni kama umeparara.
And many other benefits, I'm basing mine on personal experience (the first things you will notice).
The one banana can be enough for three people or to be used thrice. You can cover and refrigerate for up to not more than 5 days.
